Quarrydolls is a British fashion stylist and director working in fashion, film and runway in London and moreover, the creator and curator, of the rain-swept world of the Quarrydolls, a series of stills & films depicting an imaginary coalition of human-dolls, who frequent rain cafes and face shops. ‘Not many people have seen Quarrydolls, but if by chance you do, you will know it and never forget it, until the day you die!’. Today the Quarrydolls practice is based in West London. ‘My fixation for dolls, beauty, reinvention and cosmetics became an obsession, long before the Human Doll movement in Eastern Europe and is manifest on a menagerie of specially curated, cosmetic Quarrydoll models, in a series of disciplines, cross-pollinated with multi-references, resulting in much needed, parallel other-worlds, to escape, entertain and inspire. ‘To quote a fan ‘How do things like this, even exist in someone’s imagination!!?!’

Bands: Quarrydolls has worked with multiple names in fashion, film and music such as Duran Duran the Band, also styling the press shots for the late Leigh Bowery’s band, Minty.

Fashion: Quarrydolls is known for styling haute-couture off-kilter, cross-pollinating couture with every-day common objects such as wallpaper, bandages, cling film and even a rubber brain, placing them on startling, non-binary, anti-models from the fetisch club scene, dolled up in glossy cosmetics resulting in a coalition of otherworldly glitterlings.

Film: In 2018 Quarrydolls styled, directed ‘Vuittonia’ a film idea by Sophia Orlandi, for Central Saint Martins and Louis Vuitton.

Today: Alongside working on fashion and film commissions, Quarrydolls has written and will direct ‘Prussia and the Birdman’ a psychological horror novel/movie currently being adapted for screen as a film series. Disney are you listening!!?!
